NEXT STEPs is a National Institute on Aging-funded initiative that supports high-quality research by advising on research design, sharing best practices, and sharing findings to improve the lives of nursing home residents, their families, and staff.

Our resources and tools enable researchers from different disciplines to conduct high quality of clinical trials conducted in nursing homes, including trials focusing on prevention, medical therapeutics, and behavioral and health service interventions. We also create strong linkages among researchers, industry and other critical collaborators, fostering evidence-based innovations on key priorities.
